The Predator
Abstract Poem / 3/16/05 / Rated G

I was struck by an idea for this one day and had to write it. You'll probably want to read it twice when you finish it ;)

Shiny black hide and glittering fangs
Slowly protruding from its gums
Poised for the strike, it opens its jaws
Lunging forward, it bites again and again
The puncture marks on its prey are coupled,
Visual signs of the victim's defeat
The predator is finished and retracts proudly to admire its work
Another office casualty is credited to the magnificent stapler
